MORNING COFFEE

OOPS!!! I found crepes. In Sharon!
Yesterday, Joe & I went downtown to hear the Lettermen sing in the Columbia Theater. It is dusty, dirty, no seats, with scaffolding from the main floor to the ceiling. There is, of course, no sound system, but they sounded just as good as ever. We climbed up to the balcony....I remember watching movies up there 30 years ago. Hopefully, everything will come together to enable Tony Butala to complete the restoration of the theater. He also purchased the Phoenix and is planning a banquet hall and a piano bar. My favorite....A piano bar! Sip a beverage and listen to the music.....
The occasion was Sharon's annual car show. There were lots of fancy and expensive cars along with constant musical entertainment on the main stage. Vendors were selling jewelry, paintings, pottery, you name it. There were also food booths and games that made it look like a carnival or a mini Funfest. I do miss the Funfest.
We were on a mission to hear the Lettermen and go to a little cafe on State Street. Turns out that C'Est Si Bon is owned by Danielle Hayduk. Joe met her at a party at Leslie's house two years ago. She spent her teenage years in France and was married to a Frenchman at one time. There is a crepe bar that was not open yesterday....I have to go back when there is no car show. The menu is four pages of salads, sandwiches, coffee beverages and desserts...Beautiful, fancy desserts to enjoy with a cup of coffee. There are also two computers! Wow!!! Probably more that downtown Sharon can handle.

Why, yes it is. I hope she makes it. We certainly need a good French cafe in town!
