Final week before the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light The Night Walk in Pittsburgh!  The banner is done.  Chelsea's SURVIVOR shirt is here and ironed. We are still collecting donations, folks.  Still far from our goal of $2000.00.  What a bummer.

Had my Saturday morning coffee at Panera with Cricket & Bernie.  It is always fun to get together with the friends and catch up on all the gossip and family news.

I am walking in the Leukemia and Lymphomia Society's Light The Night Walk at Heinz Field on Thursday October 1 2009 with TEAM CHELSER & LUKE.  If you would like to join us at Heinz Field you can sign up on my site.  Your help in finding a cure for blood diseases is greatly appreciated.

Oh, I will be having more surgery on my neck but the date remains to be determined by the doctor. I know it won't be before November 1st because he has to schedule an ear, nose & throat doctor to assist him so he doesn't damage my voice box (I am sure Joe and a few others wouldn't mind if he did!) There is not enough time to get it done this month and recuperate before my vacation October 2nd through the 12th. And the rest of October is just plain out because someone else is on vacation the entire month. That leaves November-December. The earlier the better since I am planning on Jacob being here the week between Christmas & New Years. Hopefully, it can be done around the middle of November and I can be back to work by January 1st. I also need a few other things taken care of while I am off, like my right shoulder that I never got fixed 6 years ago! I will only let him clean it of arthritis and spurs so there is no recovery time. A bladder problem and a small hernia complete the fixes I am trying to juggle around the neck surgery!
Well, we have gone from July to September. How time flies! Seems like we did not have a summer this year. The nights were cool, the days were not very warm, and it rained quite a bit.
The tomatoes were not very tasty or large this season either. I would just like to go back to May 1st and start all over again. Make the days all over 85 degrees, the nights in the low 70's and let the sun shine abundantly!
